Money saving is something I have always been good at. Since I was little my mother always taught me to save when I can just in case. The world can be a strange place and anything can happen so I was always taught to be prepared. It doesn't even have to be a lot just as long as you're saving something because over time that something can amount up to a big something.
I have three saving suggestions that might be just up your street. I am currently using two of these methods at the moment.
Penny Saving Challenge
My boyfriend and I found this challenge online. It seems pretty simple, however, it can get super expensive towards the end of the year so I suggest starting this challenge in December so you're not saving and spending money left right and centre.
The gist of this is that you save 1p going up everyday. This can amount to a whopping £600!
Spare Change Saving
I am the kind of person that takes out a certain amount of money out in cash. As a frugal person by nature I dislike spending my cash, card is a little different, so it makes it easier to save up the spare change I end up having.
I usually clear out my purse once a week, so any change goes into a savings pot at the end of the week. Last time I counted up all my change I had about £90. It's not a great amount but it's definitely better than nothing!
Monthly Standing Order
This is one that I have been doing ever since I got a job when I was 16. It started off as £25 a month and has grown to a whopping £75 a month. Working a direct debit into your monthly outgoings can be a great way to stop any unexpected bills or pay outs.
I even managed to cover a flat tyre by saving up a little extra each month without breaking the bank. My car servicing - sorted, or even just a treat to myself for dinner at an expensive restaurant.
So there you have it. My three tips to save money easily. How do you save up money? Let me know in the comments!
