Once you have written your book the next step is to start marketing it. There are many methods to do this and get your book in the hands on more and more readers. Before we get into it, I just want to state that these are ways to promote your book, not selling it.
Host a Blog Tour
Advanced Readers and reviewers are also good for free promotion. You offer a free copy of your book, preferably digital, to a reader in exchange for an honest review. You send over a copy of your book, they read it and then the reader leaves a review on amazon and goodreads for you. This this attracts more readers to purchase a copy for themselves and get lost in your magical worlds.
Post your 5-Star books Review on your social media platform
Lot’s of authors share their reviews of their books. You can do this in many ways; screen grabbing and sticking it on instagram stories, copy and pasting part of the review and crediting it in a post on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. You can also use one liners to promote the book on your website.
Create A Pinterest Account
As the years go on we have all started to consume a lot of information. A lot of people want pleasant, easy to scan and digest with minimum effort for mental engagement. Pinterest can help you to get traffic from your books cover. Here you can add more pictures and graphics to your account and make more friends.
Refresh your profile
One of the biggest things that attract people to you is your profile on social media. You need to let people know who you are, what you do and engage them with your profile by adding a call to action. You can also add little features like Current WIP: [insert here], the genre you write and and other accounts you have.
Local Newspapers and Radio
If you have a local paper and or radio station you should write to them and see if they will feature you and your book in a story, or interview etc. There are usually free options as well as paid ones and it’ll get your book out into the world. You’d be surprised how many people will pick it up afterwards!
These tips will help to spread the news to more and more people about your book. One more thing never ever underestimates the power of social media platform and always uses this platform for a positive purpose.
