Romance novels are genres that I absolutely love and will continue to until books become non-existent. Short stories are especially my favourite because they fill you with so much in such a short time that you feel like you need more and so move onto another book.
Attorney Nita Reynolds is hot for Det. Craig Walker, but he's given up asking her out. She doesn't date cops...until a doctor's call makes her re-examine her priorities. Believing she has a brain tumor like the one that killed her father, she vows to make love to Craig Walker while she still has her full faculties. By the time the doctor realises he's mixed up the scans, she's in way too deep.
This is the first book I have read by Norah and into short stories and honestly I can only dream of writing something as amazing as this. Definitely a scorcher of a read and touches on a few issues that real couples face.
Nita is like any other woman, she has boundaries she doesn't want to cross, that is she doesn't date cops. Even though the man she has the hots for is a policeman. She tries her best to avoid him and eventually he stops going after her. Then she is told she has a brain tumor and everything changes. She goes after the man she always wanted and ends up with more than she bargained for - like being in love.
Of course there is a little drama when Criag finds out the only reason they were together was because Nita thought she was dying, but as any good love story would end, they end up together and happy. This is definitely a good holiday read especially for someone who wants a quick read when lying by the pool.
