One thing I think is very important is to acknowledge things that make you happy. All too often I see and hear people jumping on the bandwagon of "I HATE LIFE". We all do it. Working all the time getting tired and watching social media updates of others having a great time while we barely keep our eyes open trying to cook dinner, it's easy to think they have a better life than you. So here's 10 things that have made me happy this month and make my life a lot better.
1. I launched my new website
This was one of the scariest things I have done. After watching loads of people be successful I realised that if I kept doing nothing, I would never be anything more than a customer service rep. Launching this website is just the beginning and if I ever complete Regina's Free Course and fill in all the worksheets I might get somewhere.
2. Figured out my writing schedule
One thing I struggle with waking up so early and not getting home until twelve hours later is that time is not on my side. Then I have to fit in my workouts, boyfriend, social and writing commitments in the three hours before bed. I didn't think it was easy but doing this schedule for three weeks has changed my mind. Tuesday: Blog Writing. Thursday: Book Writing. Sunday: Mixture of Book and Blog work. ps. I might have something to help your writing schedule soon too.
3. Purchased The Independent
I don't know why but something about Regina is just so inspiring and usually at the end of a month I do not have the funds to purchase her awesome content, but this month I did. Get your hands on, and see for yourself, her awesome new publication.
4. Rekindled an old friendship
When you message a friend you haven't spoken to in a long time and it's like you never went away - thats one of the best feelings!
5. Got my writing edited and not a lot was changed
When you're just starting out, you're bound to make mistakes, but having the first four lines edited out of a while chapter was something that really made my day. Of course they could have just been starting with they but lets not be a Negative Nelly ey!
6. Hit a target on my first draft
Such a huge accomplishment for me and proved to my family that I am passionate about my writing, not that they questioned it.
7. My niece turned 4.
How she is four already I do not know. Honestly I can still remember the phone call to say she was born. I will definitely miss her, as well as my brother, my sister-in-law and my nephew when they move to Australia.
8. It's the little things - Got my car serviced with £100 discount
As much as money isn't everything, you need it for things like cars and a big saving was just what I needed!
9. Getting called into an interview of a job I thought I had no chance at.
Sometimes taking a chance works, even if it doesn't work out. Make sure you apply for things you want even if you think you don't have the experience! You might just be pleasantly surprised like I was.
10. My boyfriend allowed me to take our picture
I have been trying to get a picture of us together since we started but as he is adamant he is "non-photogenic" he would usually just refuse. On holiday I was allowed a cute snap and if you head on over to Instagram, you might just catch it!
So that's my ten things for this month. What are yours?
Don't forget to let me know in the comments!
