Since becoming a Book Blogger I have discovered some amazing things. I rekindled my love of books after not reading for 4 years (blasphemy I know), I've met some amazing online Author Friends, and I now take part in Blog Tours hosted by the lovely Jenny Marston. Discovering NetGalley was also a highlight however I now have a few books on my TBR List that I really need to delve into!
Here is my list of books that I am planning to read from my kindle, along with their covers and blurbs all taken from NetGalley.

Hunter by Mercedes Lackey
Blurb: They came after the Diseray. Some were terrors ripped from our collective imaginations, remnants of every mythology across the world. And some were like nothing anyone had ever dreamed up, even in their worst nightmares. Monsters. Long ago, the barriers between our world and the Otherworld were ripped open, and it's taken centuries to bring back civilisation in the wake. Now, the luckiest Cits live in enclosed communities, behind walls that keep them safe from the hideous monsters fighting to break through. Others are not so lucky.
To Joyeaux Charmand, who has been a Hunter in her tight-knit mountain community since she was a child, every Cit without magic deserves her protection from dangerous Othersiders. Then she is called to Apex City, where the best Hunters are kept to protect the most important people. Joy soon realises that the city's powerful leaders care more about luring Cits into a false sense of security than protecting them. More and more monsters are getting through the barriers, and the close calls are becoming too frequent to ignore. Yet the Cits have no sense of how much danger they're in-to them, Joy and her corp of fellow Hunters are just action stars they watch on TV.
When an act of sabotage against Joy takes an unbearable toll, Joy uncovers a terrifying conspiracy in the city. There is something much worse than the usual monsters infiltrating Apex. And it may be too late to stop them
Altaica by Tracy M. Joyce
Blurb: ‘Look at her – she’s Hill Clan. Even the Matyrani don’t like them …’
Isaura – little is known about her race, but much is whispered. Born to refugees, she grows up enduring racism and superstition within a community that fears her. She has few friends, and those she treasures. Trapped, she longs for escape to a different life. Escape is only the beginning of her troubles. Having fled an invading army with her friends, Isaura is faced with heinous choices in order to survive. Secrets from her past emerge to torment her and threaten to destroy all she holds dear. Her struggles forge a bond with an ancient power – a power which may transform or consume her. Old hatreds and superstitions are renewed and at her most vulnerable she learns the true nature of those around her.
Her only hope lies in a foreign land – a land rich in tradition; ruled by three powerful clans. A land with a history marked by warfare; where magic as we know it does not exist. Instead what is here, in abundance, is a more primal power. Survival carries a high price.
Welcome to Altaica.
Beautiful covers capture my attention. Well written blurbs make me want to read the book. That is how I choose a book to read and always will. What books are on your TBR list currently?
