As an avid reader there are a few authors that create such amazing worlds and stories that you just want to meet them in person and thank them for their amazing creations. As most of the time I am unable to go to meet ups, I missed the last Sarah J Maas one, and they rarely ever come to the UK I can't share with them my love of their stories. Lets get real here - they probably don't read my book reviews. So in the unlikely event that they will read this I'd like to let them know.
Sarah J Maas
If you haven't already gotten on the Throne Of Glass bandwagon then you really need to. Already finished Queen of Shadows and I want the next book now. There are only two books left in this series and I really don't want it to end. Sarah really knows her stuff and this series shows that. If I could meet her I would probably ask her a bunch of questions to help further my career but I would also tell her that her work in incredible.
Ashley R Carlson
Okay, so I know Ashley (kinda) through Twitter but she lives in the states and so I'll probably never get to meet her but at least we have the internet right? I fell in love with the Charismatics and when book two is released I'll be snatching that up as quickly as the first one! If I met Ashley, it would probably be on a visit to the states so I'd get her to take me to all of her writing locations and favourite places to eat!
J K Rowling
Who doesn't love Harry Potter? Except the children of the world who haven't seen it. This lady is incredible and even her crime novels under a pseudonym are unbelievably awesome too. Another author I would probably probe for tips and tricks to the writing trade but the main question I would ask is - How did you go through so many rejections and not give up?
Currently taking his class on Masterclass, he is a very inspiring person to listen to. Although I wouldn't need to ask him any questions (he does that through his class) I would love to meet the man who has inspired me to keep writing.
Artemis Fowl was my favourite book series growing up. In fact I still have the last two to go! My TBR list is insane. This man created a believable world and another language which intertwined with ours. I want to know his outlining and planning processes because it must have taken a lot. I bet he isn't a pantser!
I think I read all 6 Vampire Academy books in a week. They were incredible, emotional and made me need to finish the series. Rose is definitely the best character. Her New Adult series starting with Game board of the Gods was also just as incredible. I can't wait for the third book. I would probably ask how she came up with her ideas as all of her series are totally different to one another.
Although technically we are friends, I have never spoken to this lovely lady IRL! I feel I need too. Her books are lovely heartwarming stories that fill you with happiness and jelly like emotions. I need more of that in my life. I've already asked her the questions I need too and I'm sure there will be many more in the future!
