Five more days and I will be halfway through this amazing challenge, it's making me think so much about my career as a writer. Spurring me on to adapt and grow my skills to make sure that my final works of art (not these posts) are something I can be proud of sharing one day. My WIP is coming along nicely as well. My aim of 300 words most days is working in my favour. Let's start day eleven!
Write a short story or scene in DEEP POV.
Deep POV is all about getting into the mind of your character and removing all marks of authorship from the page. Make the reader forget that you exist and draw them into the magic of your story.
Her parents always seemed to pick the same time of year to move, right when she had settled herself into her new surroundings. Her school friends were becoming just that, friends. She was no longer an acquaintance that left and they would never see again. They had stayed in this town longer than the one before and she never felt that any other placed they had stayed were home, but this one was. Anger filled her. Getting away was her only option.
Anne was beginning to shake with her anger, how could they do this again? Never saying anything just getting up and leaving, re-rooting every three-six months! It was getting tiring. She just wanted to stay in one place, make friends and live a normal life. Or at least have an explanation of why they needed to up and leave after a couple of months.
In a couple of seconds the decision was made. She would get home tonight and pack a bag, make it look like she was planning on going with them but really sneaking off and going back to town. They always stopped off at a motel, their move was never anywhere close, sometimes not even in the same state.
Three paragraphs done.
My aim for all of these posts is to write at least three paragraphs. I feel that gives me enough of a go at these challenges. How did you do?
